Creativity is where I feel most at home. Throughout high school, I have pursued photography, videography, digital design, and ceramics, earning my Adobe Digital Experience Certification while continuing to develop technical and artistic skills.
Ceramics, in particular, has become a lasting passion. What began as a class during my freshman year has grown into a creative outlet that extends beyond school and into my everyday life. The process reminds me to slow down, embrace imperfection, and enjoy creating simply for the sake of creating. Having several pieces selected for our school's art show has been an honor, but the greatest reward is the sense of balance and fulfillment that art brings to my life.
Travel has become one of the most meaningful ways I learn about the world beyond the classroom. Experiencing different cultures, traditions, and ways of life has challenged my assumptions and broadened my perspective in ways that textbooks alone cannot. Walking through centuries-old cities, visiting historical landmarks, and speaking with people from different backgrounds allows history to become tangible and reminds me that every place has a unique story to tell.
As someone who enjoys history and world studies, I find it especially rewarding to stand where history happened and better understand the cultures that shaped it. Each destination encourages me to ask questions, appreciate different perspectives, and recognize the connections between people across the world.
Travel has taught me to be adaptable, curious, and open-minded. It has strengthened my appreciation for cultural diversity and inspired me to approach new experiences with humility and a willingness to learn. Wherever I go, I return with not only memories, but a deeper understanding of the world and my place within it.
